Ahava Freeman

President

Hi! My name is Ahava Freeman and I am a third year from McLean, Virginia majoring in Biomedical Engineering on the pre-med track. As President, I make sure that everything in the chapter runs smoothly and I communicate with Nationals and the ISC. Outside of Sigma, I am involved in the Brody Jewish Center, the BME society, and I do research in a biomedical engineering lab. I love spending time with my friends and family and trying all the coffee shops in Charlottesville!

Katie Rogers

Recruitment Director

My name is Katie Rogers and I am a second year from Miami, Florida. I am entering the McIntire School of Commerce with a minor in Business Spanish. As recruitment director, I oversee both informal and formal recruitment for our chapter. Outside of Sigma, I work for the Small Business Development Center, serve as Funding Chair for College Council, and swim for Club Swim. I love hanging out with friends, exercising, and reading!

Anusha Panvalkar

Vice President of New Member Education

My name is Anusha Panvalkar and I am a third year from Leesburg, VA. I am majoring in Applied Statistics with a concentration in Finance and Business and minoring in Psychology. As VP of New Member Education, I oversee the new members and make sure that they are welcomed and acclimated into Tri Sigma! I make sure they complete their initiation requirements, organize big/little, and plan the next year’s bid day. I also oversee our sisterhood committee. Outside of Tri Sigma, I work as an account lead for Wahoops and also am a member of Sharaara at UVA, a competitive bollywood-fusion dance team.

Catherine Vicheck

Risk Management

My name is Catherine Vicheck and I am a second year from Reston, Virginia. I’m majoring in Foreign Affairs and minoring in Computer Science. As Vice President of Risk Management I oversee our social committee and register all of our events. I also educate all of our chapter women on the safety and social procedures we have in place. Outside of Tri Sigma I am the Vice President of the Women’s Club Ice Hockey Team. I enjoy getting coffee with my friends, spending time with my family, listening to music, and running on the trails around Charlottesville!

Caroline Schuster

Vice President of Operations

My name is Caroline Schuster, and I am from Richmond, Virginia. I am a Biology major and Psychology minor on the pre-med track. As Vice President of Operations, I am in charge of Touchstone, which is a checklist from nationals that monitors our chapter’s success. I also have the role of secretary, meaning I send emails and monitor attendance. Outside of Tri Sigma, I am involved in University Dance Club as a dancer and as the Social Chair. I also volunteer with children in the PICU through Madison House.

Tania Shah

Panhellenic Delegate

Hi my name is Tania Shah, and I am from Yorktown, Virginia. I am a computer science major on the pre-med track. My primary job as Panhellenic Delegate is to go to ISC meetings every other week with the delegates from every other ISC chapter as well as the ISC board. I then return to our chapter to give updates on the ISC/meetings. I also vote in Sigma’s name on proposed legislation, and have the chapter vote on any important legislation (and then I vote the way the majority did). I oversee the philanthropy committee, and provide support in planning our two events. Lastly, I am in charge of planning FOA’s throughout the year.

Ashley Saxenian

Treasurer

My name is Ashley Saxenian and I am a third year from McLean, Virginia. I am in the McIntire School of Commerce concentrating in Accounting and Finance. As the treasurer of Tri Sigma, I create our yearly budget and more generally manage the finances of the chapter. Outside of Tri Sigma, I am involved in Student Council and UPC.

Emma Nardone

Education Director

My name is Emma Nardone and I am a third year from Boston, MA majoring in Public Policy & Leadership and minoring in history! As the chapter’s Education Director, I support our sisters’ academic and career pursuits. Outside of Tri Sigma, I am involved in Third Year Council, Lighting of the Lawn, The Cavalier Daily, Pancakes for Parkinson’s, and serve as an ambassador for the Batten School.

Maddy Taylor

Honor Council Chair

My name is Maddy Taylor and I am a third year from Roanoke, Va. I am majoring in Cognitive Science and minoring in leadership. As the Honor Council Chair I work with the Recording Secretary and Goals Coordinator to keep chapter members accountable for any violations of policies, and I help them to work towards staying in good standing with the chapter. Outside of Tri Sigma I am involved in the ski club, Take Back the Night, Madison House, and Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity.
